Valentino Heavens is one of Africa's most distinguished management consultants and executive leadership architects. With over 15 years of consulting experience spanning corporate strategy, leadership development, MSME capacity building, and organisational transformation, he has built a reputation for delivering measurable, lasting change in some of the most complex and high-stakes environments on the continent.
Born with a deep conviction that Africa's future depends on the quality of its leadership, Valentino Heavens founded Blackbelt Global Consulting to create a world-class institution rooted in African excellence. His approach draws from a unique synthesis of martial arts mastery philosophy, rigorous management science, and deep cultural intelligence — resulting in interventions that are both intellectually rigorous and practically transformative.
He is the founder of the BlackBeltCEO Venture Studio — a proprietary venture-building framework that maps the six belt-rank progression of martial arts to the stages of business mastery, from foundational clarity through to legacy-level excellence. He is also the author of From Experience to Expertise: Mastery Engineered, a landmark guide for leaders committed to engineering mastery in themselves and their organisations.
As the BDSP Ecosystem Manager for SMEDAN NBCAF at Kaduna Business School, Valentino Heavens plays a pivotal role in shaping the capacity building landscape for micro, small, and medium enterprises across Nigeria. He also serves as Faculty at Kaduna Business School and Director at The Akinstal Group in Kigali, Rwanda — reflecting his pan-African vision and continental reach.
